ABOUT FIT 4 CHANGE COLLECTIVE

Fit 4 Change Collective is a youth-led, community-driven Australian social enterprise built on lived experience. We channel the energy and creativity of young Australians into wearable art and a youth-produced magazine, building a movement that drives real change in youth mental health support across Australia.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Communications & Marketing Lead is responsible for building awareness of Fit 4 Change Collective, growing our community, and driving engagement across our digital channels and campaigns. This role develops and executes the Collective's communications strategy, ensuring our message reaches young people, supporters, and key stakeholders across Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a communications and marketing strategy aligned with the Collective's mission and growth objectives

  • Manage all social media channels, creating engaging, on-brand content that amplifies youth voices and promotes the Collective's work

  • Oversee the production and distribution of email communications, newsletters, and campaign materials

  • Lead campaigns around key product launches, magazine releases, and advocacy milestones

  • Build and maintain media relationships, drafting press releases and pitching stories to relevant outlets

  • Develop community-building initiatives that grow the Collective's supporter base

  • Monitor and report on communications performance, using data to inform ongoing strategy

  • Collaborate with the Creative & Production Lead to ensure all communications are visually compelling and on brand

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or social media management

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write authentically for a youth audience

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or equivalent)

  • Understanding of digital marketing metrics and analytics

  • Passion for youth-led social change and mental health advocacy

TIME COMMITMENT & REMUNERATION

Approximately 5–8 hours per week, though time commitment may vary depending on campaign schedules and key milestones. This is a fully remote, volunteer position. It is the intention of Fit 4 Change Collective that this role will transition to a paid position as funding is secured.
